Milano Coffee Lounge & Tasting Bar (Vancouver)

Many people rely on caffeine to wake up in the morning. But some (me included) enjoy a cup of Joe for the essence of it. With the chill in the morning, it was the perfect day for a coffee to warm me up. Milano Coffee Lounge & Tasting Bar is located on W. 8^th Avenue, right across from a small park. I thought it was a very nice and unique location, away from busy traffic. When we arrived, there was only one person managing the cashier as well as making coffee. She was rather quick and professional.

 

On the menu, there are quite a bit of drinks to choose from. I thought some of the mocha have unique name. Too bad I’m not really a mocha person.

Caffe Latte

I ordered a medium latte and there was a very lovely heart latte art on mine. It was very foamy with a fairly strong kick of espresso. I like the initial taste but once it got cold, the after taste was quite bitter. Still, it was better than the one I had at Bel Café.

Almond Croissant

Since we were heading out for lunch right after, I ordered an almond croissant to share. The texture was quite dense with a light almond flavour. On the other hand, it wasn’t as oily as some croissants out there. Does that mean it’s a bit healthier too? =)

I live the ambience the coffee shop provides. With the natural lighting coming in from the window, it felt very warm and relaxing. They also offer quality espressos and related drinks. If you’re looking for a place to chill, I’d suggest you come here to find it.
